By Steve Clavey

The pattern description of bog chin (滯頤 zhì yí) originates in the Zhū Bìng Yuán Hòu Lùn (諸깹都븜論 Discussion of the Origins of the Symptoms of Disease) by Cháo Yuánfāng (남禱렘) in 610. It refers to excessive drooling in children, usually seen between six months and three years of age.
