The Qing dynasty physician Ye Gui (Ye Tian-Shi) is an iconic figure in the history of warm disease theory and practice. This fact sometimes overshadows the recognition of his abilities in other areas of medicine. This article aims to introduce some of Ye’s cases of internal medicine, specifically those on epigastric and abdominal pain, and the unusual methods he employs.
